Simpson print everything has been around for quite some time and I even got a bit tired of looking at them for awhile but when I saw this twin set from Mart of China, I just couldn't resist.

I found it too adorable to pass up.

If I was taller and skinnier, this would've been a cropped sweater with a nice pencil skirt...but I'm neither (:P) so I just took it as a regular sweater and skirt which is actually way more comfortable and easier to live in all day. No need to suck in the tummy. hahaha

To celebrate the launch of Converse' new Weatherized Collection, I along with 22 other bloggers were invited to tap into our creativity and create distinct looks revolving around the shoes, caps and jackets from the collection.

I didn't know what to expect when I got there but I was pleasantly surprised at the new selection of shoes which had more of a distinct boot personality...perfect for these cold months.

Although widely known for their Chuck Taylor's and Jack Purcell's, Converse has actually been in the boot business since the early 1900s.

Footwear from the new Weatherized Collection is actually a marriage of the two - tried and tested leather boots plus the comfort and versatility of the Chuck Taylor and Jack Purcell sneaker lines.

And here are some photos from the mini shoot we did. As luck would have it, I was struck with the flu minutes before and it was quite the struggle to go through with it.

 I was quite amazed and grateful that these photos turned out okay, I wasn't expecting them to look half as decent as how they turned out. I was feeling pretty (ugh) but I guess it's easy to look happy when you're surrounded by Converse merchandise!

About the look: More than anything, cold weather always translates to me as cozy so I took to the mens section for inspiration. Wearing a Converse logo tee as a dress which I paired with this adorable athletic jacket, also from the mens section. To keep with my comfort theme, I finished off the look these new hi-cut leather chucks from the newly released Weatherized Collection. We all know Chucks go with everything but these are especially great because they combine the practicality and sturdiness of a boot with the comfort of Chucks. A++ for wet weather and travelling.

Look of the Day: 90's Inspired

This 90's inspired dress was actually one of the first things I wore on this blog back in 2010 and it's been safely hanging in my closet ever since. I knew nothing about photography at that time, so the pictures came out really dark, blurry and my head was twice the size of my body! xDD 

Obviously, that post is long gone, but I thought it's time to somewhat reinvent the dress, especially since I've seen so many similar ones in this season's 90's inspired collections. Tell me what you guys think!

Hi Guys...

Been down with the flu since yesterday as in a full blown fever with chills and have been asleep for more than 18 hours probably? I got it from Dennis who was also sick a couple of days ago. It sucks because it's my birthday tomorrow and we've already planned a beach trip for the weekend. Everything is paid for. We're still going but I don't know what I'm going to do there. Hope I get better so the trip isn't wasted.

Wearing my new ethnic skirt from Mart of China. I have been drawn towards detailed pencil skirts lately. They add so much character to an outfit without having to try so hard. I especially love the leather trim and fabric detail on this one. The color combination makes it so versatile and easy to pair with almost everything in my closet. I can see myself getting a lot of wear and tear out of this one.

OPS! Objects "Cool Jewelry" has arrived in the Philippines and we have a fellow shoppingera to thank for it.

Story behind OPS! is that while she was travelling through France recently, she spotted all these girls wearing colorful, super eye-catching plastic bracelets. After summing up the courage to ask someone where it was from, she finally found an OPS! Objects boutique. Once there she had such trouble picking just one that she came up with the idea that most Filipinas will probably feel the same way about these funky pieces of jewelry so she decided to bring them in.

The rest is history.

Christmas Outfit Ideas

With all the Christmas decorations starting to flood the streets and all the sales and discounts out there, I think it's time to pick Christmas and New Year's outfits so they would safely arrive right when we need them. I love how this season offers us so many new ideas, like who would have thought you could wear a lingerie slip on this day? This year it's totally appropriate! I also love the 20's inspiration with all the gorgeous heavily embellished pieces that can become real vintage treasures in the years to come. This year I am also drawn to delicate lace, the printed new look dresses, asymmetry and loads of sequins. What do you guys plan to wear on the holidays?
