does you partner suffer from premature ejaculation? (tips and cure)

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

First visual that comes to mind when I think premature ejaculation is that scene in American Pie with Jim and Nadia...it's hilarious but terribly embarrassing for Jim if that was real life...still, hilarious and a bit flattering for us girls if it happens once. Once can be passed off as cute but more than that (like every time or 3 out of 5 times) can be a big problem in a marriage or a relationship.

Based on personal experience, I feel closer to my partner, sweeter, more compassionate and forgiving when our sex life is on a good streak, when it's not, the fuse gets a little shorter.

I don't think it's being promiscuous, it's more of a renewal of spiritual connection and trust. Being able to let go and knowing someone will catch you.

This is why I decided to feature A. Menarini Philippines on my blog. Premature ejaculation affects both men and women. The issue needs to be addressed in order to maintain a happy and stable relationship.

I want to lend a helping hand and a nudge in the right direction just in case you are finding yourself in an unfavorable situation like this and are too embarrassed and/or don't know who to talk to or how to approach it.

My ignorance led me to believe that premature ejaculation was exclusive to young male adolescents...(mostly virgins on their first try (:P)) and men who haven't been sexually active for a long period of time.

To my surprise, I found out that clinical studies state prove that 1 in 3 men suffer from premature ejaculation. It is the most common male sexual dysfunction

But first,

What is premature ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation is relative. Men can take a minute, 5 minutes or 10 minutes to come. The length of time doesn't matter as long as they are able to satisfy their partner first. If your partner comes before you and pulls out before you orgasm let's (safely) say  for more than half the time, then I'm sorry to say that he is either selfish or suffers from premature ejaculation. Let's hope it's the latter since that's easier to fix :P

What causes premature ejaculation?

According to renowned sex therapist, Dr. Margie Holmes, P.E. is caused by performance anxiety. The fear of the penis going flacid mid-act or the inability to perform at par and meet their partner's expectations. It could also be due to stress, fatigue and an unhealthy lifestyle.

Is there a cure for premature ejaculation?

Most men try to deal with P.E. by conjuring up visuals like the face of their mother-in-law or male athletes to delay the process. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, most times it works too well that the penis goes limp and loses its erection. If you don't want to take your chances, try Menarini.

What is Menarini and how does it work?

Menarini is the first totally safe, FDA approved drug that is proven to delay ejaculation by 4-5 minutes*. It stays in the system for 24 hours making a single pill enough to last for more than one sexual act. It works by increasing seratonin levels. High seratonin = delayed ejaculation.

It is a short acting SSRI drug and must be taken three hours before intercourse.

Where to get Menarini?

Menarini is a prescription drug so it's best to consult a doctor you're most comfortable with. It doesn't have to be a sex specialist, it could be your GP, cardiologist, neurologist, it doesn't matter as long as you trust them and feel comfortable enough to discuss these delicate issues with them.
