The dual purpose tints come in 7 shades : the brighter ones, primarily used as lipstick/creme blush come in vibrant reds, oranges and pinks. They are highly pigmented and glide on easily. All it takes is one swipe and you have more than enough product.

The browns are used for contouring although they can also be used as lipstick to create a nude lip, just top with lipgloss. The effect is catwalk worthy and natural looking unlike when you use regular concealer.

At the official launch held at SEDA Hotel in BGC a few days ago, NARS International Make-up Artist, Janice Daoud, demonstrated just how simple and easy they are to use on our lips and cheeks.

According to her, the best way to apply it on your face is by using your fingertips. The heat generated by your body helps blend the product better.

With the wide variety of shades to choose from, there's no end to the number of looks you can achieve.  For a fresh, everyday look, go with Laos - it is also the shade that is most friendly on all skintones. For a flushed look, apply some bright Siam on your cheeks. It's also fun to mix and match different shades.

Just like all things NARS, the new Matte Multiple are long-wearing so you're guaranteed to have a beautiful sun-kissed look all day.

They can also be used wet or dry.

Use wet for a rich and vivid finish, dry for a soft yet vibrant matte effect.

When it comes to contouring, Janice swears by the open palm to the face cheat method as seen below:

I myself am a bit afraid to try the more advanced techniques used for contouring but Janice did make it seem really simple to achieve with Matte Multiple and I've always wanted to try that polished Hollywood look just like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez :P She just dabbed a bit on, blended and topped with some pretty cheek color, simple enough that I think most of us can manage to achieve.

And besides, founder and creative director Francois Nars says: "It's only make-up, don't be afraid to experiment and try new things. Stick with what feels comfortable for you, break the rules, if you make a mistake, you can always just wash it off!"
