No matter how fickle summer trends may be, it always has a strong anchor point and that is boho.
There were neons and crop tops, flatforms and snapbacks but none has had as much staying power as the classic hippie style.

It has always been my personal favorite and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. The drapey, layered styles that skim the body are flattering on all figures and the ethereal aura it presents is hard to resist and ignore.

This Spring/Summer 2014, Marks & Spencer has an abundance of “Gypsy” style clothes which embrace the season’s yearning for wanderlust and adventure. Choose from beautifully embroidered peasant tops, floaty dresses, intricate beadwork and stunning prints in a multitude of silhouettes.

After spending hours transfixed in their Shangri-la boutique, I was drawn towards this knee length parka which is lightweight and finished in a sort of waxed canvas that renders it rain-proof and very practical for our country’s bi-polar weather. To provide a nice contrast to a somewhat masculine, utilitarian piece, I decided to pair it with this ultra-feminine gauze like dress in mint green with piles of sterling silver jewelry, all from Marks & Spencer. Finished off my look with a pair of suede boots that is not only versatile but non-slip and comfortable enough to wear all day as well.

If you’re more of a structured and tailored type of person, Marks and Spencer also has a lot of preppy-inspired nautical styles in reds, whites and blues as well as a plethora of minimalist designs in pretty florals, classic tweeds and striking color blocks.

When shopping for the upcoming summer months, make sure to drop by a Marks and Spencer boutique. They have something for everyone regardless of age, gender and preference.
